I hope everyone is enjoying a great summer.

Over the past few months, we have unfortunately had a few members pass.  One being our past NVC commander, Walt Tanimoto.  I would like to acknowledge his commitment, and all the hard work and effort he gave to make the NVC a better organization and better place.  His legacy will certainly live on. More of Walt’s life of service can be found in this newsletter.

And speaking of veterans, we have sold our final veteran brick for the memorial wall!  A huge accomplishment and much gratitude goes out to Bev Kashino.  We have approximately 260 internment bricks remaining that may be applied to any of the internment and incarceration camps.  As we get closer to the completion of the wall, we hope to bring the website up to date, so people can once again reference names and information of all those honored by a brick.

Please be on the lookout for another meeting to discuss the future of the NVC Foundation soon.  Everyone is welcome!   Time and location to be determined.
