Background: The Memorial Wall was dedicated in 2010 as an NVC Foundation project. The campaign to purchase the property adjacent to NVC Memorial Hall was begun in 2008, shortly after the renovation of the Hall. The Memorial Wall was built to honor both Japanese American Veterans and Internees/Incarcerees of WWII.
Veteran Bricks: Sold Out! – We have just sold our last veteran brick so there are no more bricks available
Internee/Incarceree Bricks: 260 spaces left – Donors have purchased bricks from all 10 WRA Camps and several DOJ internment sites
The incarceration of Japanese Americans during WWII and the hardships the Issei and Nisei endured was a critical injustice. We want to be sure no one is left off the Memorial Wall.
If you have not purchased your family internment/incarceration brick(s) and would like to do so, follow the directions below.
Go to our website at nvcfoundation.org, click on the top link under Education Programs/Japanese American Memorial Wall. Print and complete the donation form and send $260 to:
NVC Foundation Japanese American Memorial Wall 1212 S King Street Seattle WA 98144
We will confirm your order, have bricks printed and installed as a group, on an annual basis (at this point in 2025).
