Golf Tournament Rules

CHECK IN AT REGISTRATION DESK (Opens at 9:30 AM)
Please be in your assigned golf cart by 10:45 AM 
 
RECEIVE TOURNAMENT INSTRUCTIONS AND PROCEED TO YOUR ASSIGNED STARTING HOLE. THE SHOTGUN START WILL BEGIN PROMPTLY AT 11:00 AM 
 
Appoint a team captain for each group. Team captains are responsible for enforcing the rules, ensuring accurate scoring, recording drives and mulligan’s for each player, and maintaining their teams pace of play. Please download GOLF GENIUS and submit your score right after you finish each hole. Also, keep a handwritten scorecard as a backup. 
 
Go to your assigned hole. Team A tees off first, Team B second. Tee off when the horn is sounded. 
 
PACE OF PLAY
The pace of play should be approximately 5 hours. Please play READY GOLF.  Please keep up with the foursome in front of you.  A team will receive one verbal warning from the marshal if an open hole in front of your team occurs. 
On a second verbal warning, the marshal will ask the group to pick up their balls and proceed to the next hole. The team will record a bogey for that hole skipped. 
 
If you have a NO SHOW, you must play as a threesome with each player hitting an extra shot in rotation every third hole. Switch to a four player format if the 4th shows up.

SCRAMBLE FORMAT RULES 
1.  Tees to play from. Women players tee off from the GOLD tees, men tee off from the BLUE tees, senior men (over 75 yrs) tee off from the WHITE tees, and senior women (over 75 yrs) tee off from the GREEN tees. 
 
2.  Each player will tee off on all 18 holes and they must select ONE DRIVE to play from, all players must hit within one club length of the selected shot, no closer to the hole and cannot improve the lie. If the selected shot is in a hazard, it must be played from the hazard. 
 
3.  Continue to pick the best shot for each consecutive shot, with all players hitting. 
 
4.  A player can use their mulligan (if purchased) throughout the tournament. The mulligan used should be recorded on the hole that it was used on the scorecard by the player’s name. A mulligan cannot be used as a tee shot on the Par 3 Hole In One contest, Hole 16. 
 
5.  Groups with 3 players, For the first hole you start on, select a player to hit 2 balls including putting. On the second hole played, rotate to the 2nd golfer, who then will hit two balls including putting. Continue to rotate 
through each player on each successive hole.
 
6.  TEE SHOT RULES
Teams with 4 players, each player’s tee shot must be used at least 3 times. 
Teams with 3 players, each player’s tee shot must be used at least 4 times. 
Mark each hole that the tee shot is used by the players name on the scorecard. 
 
7. Once the ball reaches the putting green, PUTT ONCE ONLY. 2 putt rule in effect, if all players miss the first putt, pick up the ball and score two putts for that hole. 
 
8.  Ties will be broken by comparing scores starting with the Number One Handicap Hole and so on.  If the score remains tied after that, each team captain will go to the putting green for a putt off. If no putt is made, the putt closest to the hole wins first place, the putt second closest wins second place. 
 
RULES FOR TOURNAMENT PRIZES
The team’s final scramble scores will be ranked from lowest to highest in each division, with the lowest team score as 1st place and the highest team score as last place. Tied team scores will be determined by comparing the #1 handicap hole and every consecutive hole after. The Tournament Chairpersons’ decision will be final.
