As we start moving into the winter season, like the pilgrims who harvested their bounty for winter, we have a year of warm memories to nourish us for the coming months and so much to be thankful for.
With Thanksgiving just around the corner and Christmas soon to follow, the holidays can be stressful and frantic. The holidays center around gratitude, but the meaning can get lost in the shuffle as you are trying to juggle a long list of tasks. Let this be your opportunity to remember the holidays are all about giving thanks, sharing gratitude for friends, colleagues, family, health, and all the blessings in our lives.
For me, I would like to show gratitude to the Veterans who defended our nation, including those who have fallen, and families affected. Also, to all the volunteers who have given their time and support to make the organization what it is today including the wonderful friendships and support over the past seven years with the NVC and the Foundation. Most importantly, take a moment to take care of yourself and others.
