The NVC and the NVC Foundation are nonprofit organizations that depend on volunteers to help with their programming needs and the everyday business of maintaining our facilities. The Volunteer Appreciation Brunch is a way to say “thank you” to our volunteers for their commitment and hard work throughout the year.
This year’s event was held on April 1, 2023, and was hosted by Terry Takeuchi of “Terry’s Kitchen” in Bellevue. A buffet selection of White Rice, Imperial Mix-up Fried Rice, Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Link Sausage, Portuguese Sausage, and Kailua Pork was enjoyed by those volunteers and their guests.
There was a very special guest that honored us with his attendance at his year’s event—Kim Muromoto. Kim just recently turned 100 years of age and is a member of the 442nd RCT and a lifetime member of the NVC. Kim was accompanied by his son, Kim (who is an active volunteer). Kim is pictured in this photo with Keith Yamaguchi and Dale Kaku.
The NVC and NVC Foundation would like to express our gratitude to Terry and his fine staff (Cory) for making this year’s Volunteer Appreciation Brunch such a rousing success and a “Thank You” to all our wonderful volunteers. We couldn’t do what we do without you! See you next year!
