We participated in Japan Week at Bellevue College on September 24th. Mari Wilson was an extra special volunteer because she could talk to Japanese national students about the WWII Nisei soldier experience in a much more comprehensive way. We benefitted from many EC and Foundation Board members volunteering their time to staff the booth. Lots of interest and questions from various visitors across cultural lines and ages.
We already have a few visits lined up for the Fall based on our presence at the Japan Week festival.
Bill Wright was a big hit at Japan Week because he wore a period WWII uniform during his one-hour presentation about the MIS, 100th, and 442. Well done, Bill, and thank you!!!
